My Lore: 

    Greetings and salutations all! My name is Elijah Golden (also called Eli by many of my friends. I go by either. If it lands, it lands.) I’m an actor, a creator, and I was probably a pirate in my last life. I was born and raised in the small town of Yadkinville, North Carolina. A rural community with a surprising and uplifting arts community. I began my artistic journey at the Yadkin Arts Council, which began an insatiable thirst for performance and creativity. I began to constantly be involved in productions from 2018, performing in a variety of shows. Amidst the 2020 pandemic, the world halted, and I thought so too would my ability to perform. The Arts Council, following strict covid guidelines, taught me a lesson that has reassured my future in the theatre world, which is that theatre will persist. I’m earning a BA in Theatre with a Concentration in Performance and a Minor in English from Appalachian State University. App State’s theatre department has strengthened my abilities in performance, granting me the opportunity to perform in shows that have broadened the scope of my theatrical interests. I have had the opportunity to perform period pieces, and I even had the opportunity to be in the English Premier of the show A Fable For Now by Wei-Yu Chia. Along with performance, I enjoy doing a lot of work backstage, having been a props master for many community shows back home, and club shows at the University. In my free time, I enjoy cosplaying and attending anime conventions, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and analyzing the deeper meanings behind horror movies. My future in the theatre is vast, just like the ocean. And I cannot wait to Captain my ship and see what adventures await me along my journey.
